AERMET UPPER AIR MET DATA

This upper air data comes in NCDC TD-6201.  The U.S. EPA AERMET processor can process either fixed length or variable length formats.  Compatible hourly surface data formats include both SAMSON and SCRAM / MET144 - both of which are available on WebMET.

SAMSON SURFACE MET DATA

SAMSON hourly surface data are compatible with both the U.S. EPA AERMET and PCRAMMET met data pre-processors.  Also included in the SAMSON format is precipitation data (when available).

SCRAM (MET144) SURFACE MET DATA

SCRAM (also referred to as MET144) hourly surface data contains the essential weather variables necessary for pre-processing, and is compatible with both the U.S. EPA AERMET and PCRAMMET met processors.

SCRAM UPPER AIR MET DATA

SCRAM upper air (mixing height) data consists of AM and PM values.  This format is compatible with the PCRAMMET preprocessor.
