System
calibration and diagnostic checks should be performed at six month
intervals, or in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, whichever
is more frequent. The risk of losing data increases with the interval
between operational checks. To reduce this risk, routine operational checks
should be performed on a daily basis; these daily checks may be performed
remotely. On-site inspections and maintenance should be performed on a
weekly basis.
